“…Germany!”

Germany as per usual, had his stern look plastered on his face. His tall, buff self was standing intimidating-ly in front of you as he gave you a small nod as his reply. But you knew through his tough demeanor, he was just a big softie.

“Guten tag (Y/n).” Germany said, a small smile adorning his face. You blushed slightly, his smile was so nice, you wondered why he didn’t wear one often.

“Not to be rude and all but what are you doing here? I thought you had already made plans for the day.” You asked him curiously. Usually, Germany was a very busy person but, and you didn’t know how or why, he was always able to make room for you, which always made you happy.

Germany started to blush but turned his head to the side to try and hide it. He rubbed the back of his neck with nervousness and with a deep breath; he asked you, “Vell, I-I vas vondering if you vanted to go on a valk with me?”

You yourself couldn’t help but let a soft colour of pink tint bloom on your cheeks. Smiling happily, you nodded your head. “I-I’d love to.”

Germany looked to you, almost surprised with your reply before letting a smile grace his face. “Zhat’s…great.” He exclaimed, “but you might vant to get changed first.”

Completely forgetting that you were still wearing your sweatpants and (f/c) t-shirt, you blushed terribly, and it was worse that Germany, your crush, saw you like this. Especially since he was such an athletic person.

“R-right!” you stuttered, letting him into your house before running upstairs to your room to quickly get changed.

As soon as you entered your bedroom, you couldn’t help but let a squeal of excitement escape your delicate lips. Sure, Germany had seen you in…well, your lazy clothes but he asked you out! He asked you out! You couldn’t help but let another squeal out as you quickly rushed to your closet, looking for the appropriate clothes to wear.

Yes, Germany also known as Ludwig Beilschmidt, was your crush. Sure, he could be too serious at times and was very stern but he had his soft side too. It just takes some time for you to see it, and you were happy that he liked you and trusted you enough to show you that side.

Germany was also one of the most popular guys you knew, but he didn’t realize this at all. Women and men would flirt with him but he never noticed or just never seemed to care. It really crushed you when you saw someone try and win him over. You hated seeing that.

Before you knew it, you had finished getting changed. You were wearing some denim skinny jeans and a (f/c) sweater, since it was February. You put some socks on and (f/c) (f/b) trainers and quickly put your (h/c) hair in a high ponytail.

You rushed downstairs into the living room where Germany was waiting patiently for you, sitting on the sofa stiffly. You rolled your eyes slightly but smiled and walked over to him.

“Hey Germany, sorry for taking a while. You ready?” you asked him as you showed him a happy smile that you couldn’t force yourself to get off of your face.

Germany looked to you and smiled. Nodding, he stood up and walked with you to the door. “Ja, I’m ready. Lets go.”

You opened the door for Germany, which he replied with a thank you in his national language, German, before walking outside. You also exited your house and closed the door behind you. Locking the door as well, you turned to Germany and smiled. Germany smiled back before walking out of your garden and onto your neighborhood’s street.

You both walked down the dark street. The lights of the lampposts were illuminating the darkness around you both. It wasn’t too dark, but it wasn’t all that bright either. The houses around you brought you both light as well. There windows much brighter then you thought possible as you wondered why you didn’t do this more often.

You both walked in silence, not needing to say anything. You both were just enjoying each other’s company, not needing to do or say anything expect for walk side by side. You pondered for a moment, wondering if this was an actual date. I mean he did look quite embarrassed when he asked you and he was blushing. It also sounded like a date.

But…

You and Germany usually went on walks together. Well, usually it was more of a morning run or jog but you did this kind of thing often. You both liked doing exercise together, you got to spend time with one another plus you both were able to get your fitness up. …Not that Germany needed it.

Seriously, Germany was the healthiest person you knew. Yeah, he liked his beer every now and then but his diet was perfect, his fitness was top notch and you could see how healthy he was, thanks to his rippling muscles. His muscles were…amazing.

‘He’s properly just being nice…’ you thought as you suppressed a sad sigh from escaping your mouth.

Shaking your head slightly, not wanting to think of the subject any longer and not wanting to get lost in your own little world, you turned your head to look at the said German man with a small smile.

Pondering for a moment about what you were going to say, it took you a couple of minutes of deciding what would be the best thing to ask. “So...how come you asked me to accompany you on a walk?” you asked him, wanting to know what the reason was to all of the thinking that you had done on the subject.

Germany turned his head slightly to look at you, his cheeks had turned a soft pink but it was still noticeable. “O-oh, vell, I thought it’d be nice for us to take a valk. Just talk and such.”

You looked at Germany questionably but nodded your head slowly and looked forward once more. He didn’t look all that convincing. Plus, I’m sure if he wanted to just hang out that you both could have just done it at your house or at his house.

But you were too shy to question him or argue with him. “Okay.” You simply said as you walked alongside him.

The silence once again surrounded the both of you but this time, it wasn’t as welcoming. It really now just made the situation awkward and it made it even harder to say something.

Germany looked around the street as you continued to think of ways to say something without your voice cracking. Germany noticed a small florist in a distance, it’s window lighting the dark street, showing that it was still open. Germany looked back at you and noticed you were in deep thought. A small smile involuntarily graced his face as he waved his hand in front of your face.

Snapping out of your little world, you looked to Germany who had just been waving his hand at you. You raised an eyebrow. “Yes Germany?”

Germany pointed to the small florist in a distance. “I vas vondering if ve could go to that store over zhere?” he asked you.

Surprised that he wanted to go to such a place, you suppressed the feeling of giggling as you simply nodded your head with a smile. “That sounds lovely. I’d love to go.”

Germany smiled and took your hand in his, blushing but hiding it, he walked with you to the florist.

You on the other hand, we’re already blushing like crazy. You weren’t used to psychical contact unless it was from your family and not only that but your crush was holding your hand. You could already feel butterflies flutter wildly in your stomach.

After a little while of walking, you arrived at the florist. It was smaller then you thought it was going to be and it was decorated with all sorts of plants and flowers. It was a nice, traditional florist that looked to be a family-run business. Noticing a ‘WE ARE OPEN’ sign, you opened the door to the building.

Immediately, you and Germany were both greeted with the jingles of bells and the small creak of wood that you had stepped on, an old lady, looking to be in her late sixties walked into the room and behind the counter. She was a crooked, hunched back lady who had to step on a stool in order to see past the desk but she looked nice and looked actually to be quite healthy.

Smiling at the old woman, you realized that Germany had let go of your hand, properly not wanting the elderly lady to think the wrong idea. Sighing mentally in your head, you walked over to some of the flowers that caught your interest.

You stopped in front of some beautiful flowers that caught your eye. It had blue petals and in the middle a little bit of purple to make the petals even more amazing. They were blue cornflowers.

You smiled. You loved blue cornflowers. They were one of your favourite flowers…well that and (f/f).

Germany must have noticed your interest in the flowers because he walked over to you, looking over your shoulder to get a better look at the plants.

“I see you like blue cornflowers.” He said with his deep German accent, breaking you out of your trance.

You moved your head to the side slightly to look at him and smiled. “Yeah, they’re actually one of my favourite flowers.” You replied as you gently brought one of the petals of the said flower into your fingertips, rubbing it ever so slightly to feel the soft texture.

Germany looked at you with a soft smile, almost a dreamy one if you had noticed. “Do you know that blue cornflowers are Germany’s national flower?”

You looked away from the flowers and to Germany’s softly smiling face. “No, I didn’t know actually.”

Germany picked up a bouquet of blue cornflowers and walked to the register. Smiling at the aged woman in front of him, he placed the bouquet onto the top of the counter. “Excuse me, could we buy these?”

The lady sent you and Germany a crooked smile. “Of course dearie, that’ll be five Euros please.”

Germany put his hand in his jean’s pocket and took out his wallet. Looking through the wallet for a moment, he found the amount of money asked and handed the old senior woman a five Euro note.

The hunched back madam sent a grateful smile at Germany and took the note from him. “Thank you, I hope you will enjoy the flowers.” She pressed a button on the cashier and it popped open. She placed the note in the correct slot before closing it.

Germany smiled at the aged female. “Ve vill. Zhank you.”

He turned around and walked over to you, the bouquet in his hand. Once he was in front of you, he handed you the blue cornflowers. “H-here.” He stuttered as a small blush had formed onto his cheeks.

You on the other hand, were blushing much darker then he was. Smiling, you gratefully and carefully took the flowers, not noticing the small heart shape card that read ‘My Valentine’ in the bouquet. “Thank you Germany. That’s really sweet of you.”

Germany blushed harder at your words. “I-It vas n-nothing.”

You held the flowers close to you as you sniffed the lovely fragrance of nature. You looked back at Germany, not actually used to seeing him act like this. He didn’t tend to stutter and blush unless his brother was embarrassing him a lot. To be truthful, it was actually kind of cute.

Not knowing you had been staring, you blushed and looked away. Not noticing that Germany had slowly gotten closer to you.

By the time you did notice, he had already wrapped his arms around you, ignoring the flowers that kept the only space in between you to and hugged you closely.

You blushed so bad that you properly looked like a red rose. Moving your gaze away from the floor and to Germany’s face, your breath almost hitched inside of your throat. Germany himself had a dark blush but he also had a…loving smile. It made your heart race as the butterflies that disappeared a while ago, came back in a storm.

Germany slowly leaned his face down to yours, closing his eyes in the process. Your eyes widened in surprise but another part of you was…really happy. Slowly leaning up to him, also closing your eyes, you both felt your noses touch but that didn’t stop you two from getting any closer to one another. Your lips lingered onto his before finally pressing onto one another’s.

It felt so right. The kiss was perfect. It was soft yet firm, loving yet caring, warm yet gentle and just…amazing. You both continued to kiss in a gentle but passionate manner, not wanting to ever part away from one another.

Eventually, you both reluctantly broke away, needing the oxygen back into your lungs. Panting, both of you trying to catch your breath, you looked into each other’s eyes with love and care.

Germany was the first one to speak. “I…Ich liebe dich (Y/n).” His face had become as red as a tomato, his icy blue eyes still staring into your (e/c) eyes, affection and endearment evident in his blue orbs.

Your face had exploded in the darkest shades of red; you couldn’t bring yourself to break away from his gaze. It was so…powerful. Your eyes were also showing the same love and affection he was showing you. Your bottled up feeling could finally be set free and you were so happy.

“I…Ich liebe dich auch.” You replied, your lips forming into a tender smile. You were so glad that you took German as your language class.

Germany’s face couldn’t have got any darker by now but he also formed a soft, amazing smile. He was in heaven. The girl he had liked for a long time loved him back. Things couldn’t get any better.

Your moment was broken as the old lady coughed loudly into her hand, something that she actually didn’t mean to do. You both turned your heads to her, your embarrassment growing, not realizing you had been kissing in front of her until now.

The elder female merely laughed, but it sounded more like a cackle. She pointed a bony finger at where yours and Germany’s chest were pressed together. You looked down to see the blue cornflowers Germany had bought, squished in between the both of you, now completely ruined. Some of the flowers and petals had even fallen to the ground.

She watched both of you grow more embarrassed and simply cackled more. “You might want to get a new bouquet.”

Hello my beautiful people! You FINALLY have the next ending for 'Hetalia x Reader Valentine's Day'!

To start off with, I'm so sorry for not uploading anything sooner and being inactive. It's not that I've been entirely busy it's just that I haven't been getting much ideas lately, I fear that I properly have writer's block. Throughout this whole holiday I keep tying to write something but all my ideas and writing talent (if I have any) just disappear, it's really frustrating. So yeah, I'm sorry if this isn't as good as I usually do and I'm sorry for the late submission.

Oh, and I'm going to continue the Valentine's Day series even if it's not Valentine's Day anymore (or even close in that matter). It's a series that I've been working on for a while and I'm not giving up on it just because it's not close to the day of the celebration anymore.

I've already written the other endings for this series so they should be submitted after I've written the next parts for 'My Crush is...Hetalia?' and 'My New Life'.

~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~

(Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia, Germany, the picture or you.)

I leave you with my deepest apologises. :iconimsorryplz:
